Your friendly reminder that criticizing iPadOS does NOT mean:

  • "dual-boot macOS"
  • "put macOS on iPads"
  • "you want to turn an iPad into a Mac"

It's completely fair to ask for more from iPadOS while keeping it iPadOS.

Anything else is a distraction. Do not let those distractions invalidate your opinion. But expect more and more over the next few days.

The best part of all this:

When I started working on the iPad 12 years ago, some Mac users made fun of me and told me it was pointless.

12 years and many iPad Pros later, the same people are telling me I shouldn't criticize iPadOS or want it to be as powerful as macOS.

  • We always hear of the "limitations" of iPadOS, but I've never done an article covering them all

  • I wanted to convey how you can love the iPad form factor while also criticizing its software

@viticci Do you know anything about the new Logitech Combo Touch? Did it always use the Smart Connector or is that a new thing? Seems like my dream folio case but idk if it has major hang-ups because it’s a 3rd-party case
