Ich vertrete immer noch die optimistische Meinung dass das gar nicht alles Leute sind die das Leiden und Tod Anderer für ihren eigenen Wohlstand aktiv in Kauf nehmen,

sondern Leute die einfach nie darin geschult wurden moralisch zu reflektieren, nie Hinterfragen warum sie Rechtfertigungen für Egoismus suchen müssen ...

The app very nicely displays your geotagged photos and gps-tracks that you have in your home-cloud.

Also illustrates what all this accumulated data can tell others about you.

  • All the locations you are interested in
  • What kind of locations you frequent and when
  • How often you go there and when you started
  • How far you usually travel
  • How long you spend there
  • How much hiking you do, etc
  • Where you live, where you work

None of which is 's business.

Wau. Metapher für unsere reale Gesellschaft.

  • Grammatik hat in diesem Fall also eine logische Regel.
  • Die Regel ist an der Verwendung und Lebensrealität komplett vorbei gegangen, benutzt wird es ja anders.
  • Aus der tatsächlichen Verwendung versuchen Leute dann Regeln abzuleiten und wundern sich warum diese inkonsistent sind.

Falsche Perspektive beim Betrachten, falsche Schlüsse.

Regeln vs reale Auslegung, ändert den akzeptieren Standard.

Why would I invest effort to delete my old Tweets?

My thoughts that make a case for keeping my Tweets:

They've been public for years so anybody could have copied them already,
I haven't logged in since 2022-12,
Twitter restored deleted Tweets in the past,
I didn't send private messages with sensitive information,
Elon is most probably destroying the whole thing for good anyway.

What are your arguments for investing the semi-manual effort to delete everything over there? Convince me.

My reasoning mostly goes like yours.

The one advantage to deleting your tweets that I can see, is to deprive X of that content. Removing content from X devalues X.

Does that really matter with a service that is famous for providing tweets on current events? Don't know?

In any case, it would probably be sad to not make some of that content accessible elsewhere first. Which sounds like a lot of re-reading and filtering work.

As far as is concerned, I am now pretty happy with , it's machine learning Apps and the Android app .

Lets me keep, and is working well, with the folder and file naming structure I use and

allows quick, convenient, remote access to my old photos,

while keeping everything out of someone else's cloud.

I have an electronic device that is used to connect with my friends and family, I use to note down my thoughts, share my opinion and is needed to do my job and earn money. It was already only barely private and all my personal thoughts and contributions are being monetized, while the last refuge of privacy, my private messages with friends and family are now all automatically spied upon by the (UK) government.

damit werden die letzten Missverständnisse, die fpö wäre nicht so schlimm wie die afd, final ausgeräumt.

Beide positionieren sich als Sammelpool für Soziopathen und gesellschaftsfeindliche Egoisten sowie Leute mit IQ <80.

Aus Russland kommen anscheinend weiterhin massiv Parteigelder, denn man verteidigt auch den armen Putin der ja nur ein paar Länder erobern will.

Beide arbeiten auf ihre Zensur und Kriminalisierung hin. Kündigen es sogar an.

Manchmal regnet's tatsächlich Geld vom Himmel.

Gerade eine 20 Eurocent Münze auf meiner Fensterbank gefunden nachdem ich das Fenster zum Lüften geöffnet habe. 😅

Eine Mögliche Erklärung. Oder jemand wollt was gegen eine Scheibe werfen. Oder jemand hat unten Zahl oder Kopf gespielt und sehr hoch geworfen, oder jemand hat das Fenster daneben mit einem Wunschvmbrunnen verwechselt und nicht getroffen. 😅

Right now we still use something I hacked together back in the day.
It lives in a git repository, drinks from sqlite, eats bank statements and outputs hledger text accounting files which are then feed to other visualization and accounting tools
