@morecowbell@aral I'm a normal Israeli. My interest is mostly geeky stuff. I stay away from the news on most days because the news is mostly terrible. I know life didn't started on the 7th but nothing justify killing kids in from of mothers and then raping them in front of father's.
@morecowbell@aral - Thank you for that. It's not that Israel is without fault, but as a policy, Israel has no interest in genocide nor in controlling the Palestinians. Before the 7th you could have called us paranoid saying, saying hamas is resisting (don't agree with that much) but intentions should matter. After the 7th, you can see that Hamas do mean their charter. They want to remove us from the planet.

Hamas reports the numbers, we have no way to validate them.
Hamas has said before that they considered the complete destruction of the Gaza strip a fairly positive outcome to this attack. They knew what would happen.
I will listen to this, but much of this is plainly wrong.
@morecowbell al jazirra is not a good source. They are owned by Katar which is funding Hamas. Besides they are still looking for a hospital we fired on. Besides Jewish extremists which operate on their own and not in self defence should go to prison. This isn't Israeli policy. About soldiers abusing Hamas terrorist. I have no sympathy for them. Anything else ?
@aral Really, they came 3000 terrorists and killed, raped, and murdered. Children, women, men, Muslims jews. They didn't care. Yet Israel is genocidal. Why?
@qballer Because one act of savagery does not justify another. This is not very difficult to understand unless you have a vested interest in not understanding it.
@aral So you expect us to go quietly into the night. Do you not understand that this will signal to Hamas that they can do this again? Hamas has been placing its people in harm's way. Only yesterday images of Gaza residents trying to flea for their lives who were gunned down by Hamas.
@qballer No, I expect Israel to obey international law, to not dehumanise Palestinians, to not express genocidal intent and to not dole out collective pusnishment and kill thousands of civilians including thousands of children in what amounts to the human tragedy version of shooting fish in a barrel.
Thankfully, I am not the only one who feels that way either. The UN, human rights organisations like HRW and Amnesty, and – at this stage – anyone with a conscience, really, agrees.
@qballer It is unconscionable that you equate bombing Nazis – who were oppressing the Jewish people, as well as Roma, and other minorities – with the bombing of Palestinians who are being oppressed by Israel.
Had the UK occupied Germany for decades before bombing it? Had the UK implemented an apartheid system in Germany before bombing it? Had the UK encircled Germany, controlling every aspect of the lives of Germans for decades before bombing it?

Israel isn't doing or wants genocide. Even as this happens people are discussing how to not stay in Gaza which we left in 2005.
Israel does what it does because Hamas and Phatach kill our people. The governing body of Gaza is hell-bent on killing all Jews. It states this goal. It is not our goal.

But sadly forgot that Arab leaders constantly failed their people throughout history of this conflict in a massive way.
@aral Truth hurts. Truth that is showing Israel state, not the Israel people for what they are. Let's be honest and say that most people in this world just want to live their lives in peace, and die in peace, no matter the colour of their skin, or their religion. No one wants war. It's the sociopaths and psychopaths in power that crave blood justifying bloodshed with any means. History is written by the winners, and wars are waged out of interests ( power and money).
