The latest build (mobile) works fine, except I get alerts for unimplemented endpoints. The stable release worked for me as well on desktop last time I tried it @gombang
Interesting. Playing around with the #Tuba client for Mastodon, and the "add media" thing is busted. If I try to add a photo or whatever, the file choosing window tries to come up but does not display any contents, then fails after a few moments.
I also cannot drag and drop from my file browser.
The only way I can add images is to CTRL-C either from a web page or local image viewer, and then paste them into the Media tab. Which is awkward, but at least it works.
I'm running Ubuntu MATE, which is basically Gnome2. So if I want to install Tootle I think I'm going to need to also install a bunch of KDE stuff to support it.
Which probably isn't that big a deal, but it feels like clutter to me.
A bit of refinement to my trouble with #Tuba where I can't scroll the displayed timeline after I back out of zooming into an image. Turns out that if I click on the sidebar first (anywhere on it, not just one of the entries), that breaks whatever was locking the column in place and I can scroll as I please.
No idea what would cause that, but at least it's easier to deal with than my inability to attach media by the usual means.
There were some things I didn't like with the #Tuba layout, what with the title bar being crowded with pseudo-tabs meaning I couldn't just click and drag without clicking a button, and the odd absence of some options when I popped out the list.
Turns out all that stuff is fixed if I just widen the window away from the default that it comes up at when I open it. I have no idea why, since there's lots of space on the sidebar, but the extra width does the trick.
Someone just messed up with the French translation of #Tuba on #Weblate and replaced it with… well something else
Now that I've updated to the latest version of the app, I don't even know what language is used in the interface.
It's f*cking pissing me off.
I've been involved in the translation process since the very beginning of the project, that means months of work AND SOMEONE JUST SCREWED UP MY ENTIRE WORK INSTANTLY
I made the PBS News Hour this week (for seven full seconds!)
At 1:38 you can see me conducting #Tuba Christmas at the Kennedy Center. What a fun event that is every year. Played my first one in Boston in 1984 along with my father on baritone.
Heute den Beitrag über @Gargron in der ZEIT gelesen - das war Motivation genug, meine verbuggte #tuba auf #linuxmint wieder auf Vordermann zu bringen und die Fäden hier nach längerer Zeit wieder aufzunehmen. Neuer Versuch also!
