So the tape came out after he won the primary but before the election. The GOP tried to push a write in campaign for his primary opponent. Some said they’d vote for the dem candidate. But due to republican gerrymandering, the sucker still won.
Nah that wasn’t due to gerrymandering, or no more than any other election at least. That was due by the fact that Republican voters will vote for the the party no matter what. He could have been having a bukake party at the parking lot and they still would have voted for.

It again depends on what someone considers LGBT rights. I am gay, I oppose a business being prohibited from denying me service based on my sexuality. To a ton of people that is me opposing LGBT rights. A lot of religious (idk how many there are overall though) LGBT people oppose gay marriage. There is the whole “LGB drop the T” movement which are basically gay terfs, and probably to some extent oppose LGBT rights. There are a ton of examples because LGBT people can have any spectrum of beliefs and LGBT rights can mean anything to different people.
Remember the Hungarian homophobe official caught in a huge gay orgy, which also had other bigots from government in it? He broke his nose jumping out of a window, if I’m not mistaken.
There’s also “cunt”, which (depending on your English accent mainly) can be considered perhaps more offensive than “dick”.
We Finns also use “vittu” very much in the same way English uses “fuck”, but “vittu” translates more or less directly to “cunt”. “Fuck you” in Finnish would be “haista vittu”, which translates to “sniff a cunt”. But just like the English “fuck you”, the actual meaning of the words isn’t the meaning in the context of telling someone to bugger off.

Its weird, but in private conversation to mates etc we use “cunt” and “bugger” a lot. Its general banter down here, though it doesnt get said professionally, in front of kids etc. They’re working class words here
It’s really not weird, was my point. Unless you’re American? In America, in an American accent, “cunt” is very hard to utilise as a term of endearment. With Aussies? Zero problem.
I mean, if the news was so widespread that it got on Wikipedia I think he would’ve sued if it was false. An LGBTQ site putting words in their mouth seems a prime candidate for an easy defamation lawsuit.
