Why do you wish to fight against nature?
Dandelions are an important source of food for numerous insect species. Bees can collect around 100 grams of honey from 10,000 yellow flowers. Up to 200 different insect species live in dandelion meadows.
Dandelions are also vital for birds. Many birds eat the insects and some species depend on dandelion seeds, such as the goldfinch.
@Irisfreundin@gardening we plant lots of pollinators for this reason :) theres tons of dandelions across the very local playing fields etc. and I only attack them just as they go over into seed.
At this point, a patch of lawn which will be used for wildflowers is covered in the things!
