My brother and I spent years trying to explain why climate change wasn't the same as it being warmer outside, how voting Tory is stupid on any number of levels and the classic Schrödinger's refugee argument - "they're taking our jobs and sitting around on benefits/getting free houses".
This is why we both moved abroad.
