Great. Keep them home while the rest of the kids go. It’s the same problem over and over- people who don’t know what they’re talking about insisting their thoughts are more important than others’ rights and making sure no one can do the thing they object to.

Field trips to see plays were great when we were kids. Didn't matter what we were seeing. You got out of school for the day, got to see something entertaining, and it was educational (but when you were a kid, it was just enjoyable). I saw some Oscar Wilde from school once. Wonder if that would be too controversial now.
Speaking from outside the USA and watching a handful of them lose their damn frigging mind and shit in the soup for everyone, it might be funny if the soup wasn't something they all had to drink - their kids included.
Watching an idiot few take pride in actively destroying their democracy while screeching "yeehaw, America forever" is just horrific and sad - like seeing the car next to you careen off towards the ditch and not being able to do anything about it.
@TonyStark If you don’t want an abortion, don’t get one from. If you want to go to church then do so, but don’t force religion on everyone else, if you don’t want to dispense certain pharma drugs, then don’t work in a pharmacy, if you don’t like drag, then avoid drag shows etc. It’s a long list.

A middle school girl from a very conservative family pulled it off perfectly. Did the parents fret about how she was dressed?
Nope. They were too busy crowing about how at 14, she got the lead.
Did it 'groom her for the gay agenda'?
Nah. Last I heard, she's got 3kids she pushes equally into church, sports, &the arts.
@AgentCarter My participation in our highschool performance of Grease was solely because we were short boys for the roles of the gang members. I wasn’t good enough for the female roles and I had a body type that luckily, with a few tensor bandages, made it that I could play a boy. I did not turn out to be gay nor trans nor traumatized. @TonyStark

If you don't want your kid to see the play, don't let them go to the play. That's your personal freedom. But your freedom does NOT mean that you can force everyone else's children to not go to the play. That's the opposite of freedom.

@TonyStark this is absurd. And cruel to the kid. If they’re worried about kids seeing plays with people in drag then obviously Shakespeare is also out.
@TonyStark Very disappointed in Houston. This is theocracy on the move. They will not stop coming for all of us until we stop them. Telling them to just not be assholes is pointless. You might as well tell waves not to crash. Fighting back is all.
@TonyStark it isn’t about the kids. It’s about those people keeping power and control. It’s about making sure the disenfranchised stay that way. We’re fleeing this state as soon as we can.
@TonyStark oh, but keeping your kid home while others are going to the play would make them feel left out and uncomfortable and we cannot have that! So if I don’t think it is appropriate for my kid then it can’t be appropriate for any kid. I’m soooo tired of the crazies controlling the agenda.
