One option would be to watch YouTube via Invidious - a pretty good idea to protect your #privacy as well!

This at least works for now, but Google is also trying to kill Invidious:

I mean ... ads are OK-ish of they pay for the content and as long as they don't track or are used for malvertising. So if sides change this removing adblockers sounds fine to me.
But until then, I think #adnauseam is a nice tool to filter (non-)tracking ads and poisen the trackingdata.

If you are in Europe, do file a complaint against #YouTube.

Under EU law they are not allowed to deploy #adblock detection technologies.

The best future proof Solution would be, use YouTube less and at some Point don't use it at all anymore.

Make use of other Platforms that are free from Corporate greed, like PeerTube or similar.

Urge your favorite Creators to take Action and also use/upload elsewhere.

That would be the first Step on a longer Journey of freeing the Internet from greedy Companies. 😉

@Tutanota All the bad relationship that users have with advertising and the consequent use of ad-blockers are the well-justified reaction of a mass that has been "raped" everywhere and in all ways, on the internet, by a policy of aggressive marketing.
We need to stop blaming the consumer who tries to defend himself from those who claim to sell instead of asking politely.
