@Teri_Kanefield Given the death threats against those who voted against #JimJordan for speaker, I hope the courts find a way to protect #Powell and all the others who have decided to cooperate.
Her guilty plea is one thing, but I don't see her utility as a witness against others. She's been impugned too often, by too many, on both sides.
I'm surprised and still not surprised she's one of the ones to crack. Her weakness has always been evident. She should be the one wearing a scarlet A on a tee-shirt, standing for "Ahhhh, wtf did I just say?"
@Teri_Kanefield If she and Cheeseboro flip, then their case against Giuliani and Trump become stronger. If it looks like Rudy is going to see real jail time, I will bet money that he will flip and send Donald to jail.
Do I care if Sidney Powell goes to jail? No. She’s a dumb stooge. But she can incriminate all sorts of people from Mike Flynn on up.
@Teri_Kanefield Looks like she got a sweet deal (yes, yes, prison should be abolished, but there needs to be some kind of punishment). Hope they got some cooperation out of it or something, although I don't see how she could ever be considered a reliable witness.
@Teri_Kanefield As a Pro democracy American and GA resident, saying that I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement. This is NOT justice. The harm she has caused to American democracy is immeasurable. She has put every US voting jurisdiction using Dominion voting machines at risk from tampering, including the entire state of Georgia 😡
@Sameagle@Teri_Kanefield Using the small fry to catch the big fish is how the justice system often works. Powell is a nutjob who was harmful and got a lot of press but was also fairly ineffectual. If she gets probation and her testimony results in genuinely dangerous people like Trump going to jail, either directly or by scaring someone one level up into copping a plea, I'm okay with it.
