Trump is a fucking liar. He’s not going to debate anyone.

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@StillIRise1963 @wendinoakland Trump will insist on a time, place, moderator and network that Biden can’t agree to and then taunt him for being a coward and the media will echo all of it with no context .

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@bici @StillIRise1963 @wendinoakland Trump doesn’t care about rules or protocol. As long as the press repeats what he says he’ll make whatever demands he wants. He doesn’t want to debate anyway.

Social media user: All this political stuff is exhausting. I'll just post something silly.

posts picture of a cute cat yawning

First comment: I don't get it. Is this cat an anti-Biden or anti-Trump thing?

Second comment: Hmm this cat post feels like a big "fuck you" to the student protests.

@lowqualityfacts @MaJ1 how dare you have a cat when some people can’t AFFORD a cat

It takes months to get a routine Doctor’s appointment. For a dermatologist? Forget about it. 8 months or more. Reminds me of when Americans gloated about long wait times in Canada for their “socialized medicine”. Now we have long wait times AND pay through the nose - if we’re lucky enough to have any insurance at all.

  1. Spouse helped me dig out a HUGE rock where I needed to plant a nectarine tree (yay for tractors!)

  2. My little orchard now has 4 apple trees, a cherry tree, an aronia bush, a fig tree and a nectarine tree!

  3. I also planted 25 bare root strawberry plants today.

Hmm.. again we got a mouse
somewhere hiding in our house :nkoFacepalm2:

Instead of keeping the mice out, Washy brings them inside to play but he loses them after a while and now we're looking together :blobcatgiggle:

That's not what a cat is 'supose to do' :meow:

@stux This is exactly what my cat does and not just with mice.

My dress has pockets, she screamed. The pockets were filled with unimaginable things, falling, overflowing, slinking, and crawling around. I finally have somewhere to keep my things, she shrieked. The things joined her with their own harmonious hum, a slimey symphony. I am never alone now, she whispered, shadows passed behind her eyes.

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@RickiTarr @EllenInEdmonton I’m sewing a dress with pockets right now. What do I keep in dress pockets? Things I find around the house like stray legos, dropped popcorn, little bits and bobs that either need to be put away or thrown away. Also lip balm.

I talk to people from the UK pretty regularly, I watch a lot of BBC programming, I read a lot of books by authors from the UK, but sometimes they will suddenly use a word I've never heard in my life, and I'm beginning to think they are pranking us, and every other person from the UK is in on the joke, and just validates whatever the other person says!

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@RickiTarr @unclepj I too love British TV and have started writing down words to look up like plimsoll and lilo

Almost five weeks since foot surgery and today I walked a mile without stopping. It was at the pace of an 80 year old, but my toe held up pretty well! Now to pick up the pace and then to walk farther. Take care of your feet! You’ll be needing them.

Mom calls to say she was just in a parking lot fender-bender—both cars backing out of spaces. She says she was distracted and it was probably her fault. But that the other guy got out of his car RANTING and SCREAMING at her.

Which made me mad enough regardless of what happened or how. But then she texted photos of almost nonexistent damage and now I want to murder this man. His car on the left, hers on the right.

There is minor damage—no more than a scuff that removed a few slivers of paint—on a white SUV’s bumper.

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@Holberg There’s no excuse for that

Lundemo,

  1. Daughter and grandsons arrived for a spring break visit
  2. Sat outdoors with my daughter and husband to watch the boys dig in the mud near the garden. Chilly but it felt good.
  3. Two weeks post-surgery and even in the surgical boot am managing 5000 or so steps a day with not much pain. It feels wonderful to have some flex in the toe. Hallux rigidus is as unmoving as it sounds and I had it for years

Hard to believe, but whoever replaces will be even worse. That’s how it is with the GOP. They won’t stop their extremist march to the right until swastikas are flown over the Capitol

Why are Progressives so good at fighting amongst themselves, and totally missing the mark at what they should be fighting against?

Lundemo,
@Lundemo@mstdn.social avatar

@RickiTarr @ReticentTurnip Progressives are like kids who hate their father but take their anger out on mother because it’s easier and less risky. Until they take their fight to republicans instead of democrats I can’t take them seriously.

Lundemo,

@AmishSuperModel @mastodonmigration Dropped my subscription in 2015 when they gleefully helped tank the Clinton campaign. Dropped my Washington Post Subscription this year when they hired a Murdoch acolyte as publisher. They’d sell this democracy for cheap if it meant bigger yachts for billionaires

Miss Inga is relaxing after another harrowing trip to the vet for a suspected UTI. The good news was that the thyroid medication is working, she’s gained half a pound, doesn’t appear to have kidney disease and can probably get radioactive iodine treatment in April. She is, as always, the queen of the vale and also the couch.
