It's strange to me when I see people get upset about people doing good deeds, and posting it online.

"They're just doing it for attention!"

Yeah, so what? I'd much rather see people doing nice things for attention, than the people who do mean pranks or wasting food. A good deed is still good, even if it's done for the wrong reasons.

@rticks If they would each pick a global problem and solve it at their own expense without causing a bigger problem, I wouldn’t care how much money they had. Even earning interest on massive amounts of money without doing anything at all just isn’t enough for them. They constantly have to be breaking things for the rest of us.😖

Just a little heads up, for those that may not know. Not everyone can afford to pay for subscriptions to all the various newspapers and mags out there. If you find a news story that you feel is important and needs to be shared, then use something like archive.is to take a snapshot of the article and share that. Posting a link to a paywall means that the only thing they'll be able to read is a headline that may or may not actually be true. We live in a time of sensationalized clickbait headlines. That's why Radio Free Society only posts links to news sites without paywalls. Information is meant to be free! #RadioFreeSociety

This was a notable comment because Richardson follows all the major political stories from the perspective of a political historian, and she has been doing so for years.

@Teri_Kanefield I was just reading your blog (it’s excellent, as usual) and noticed this Patriot Pulse ad from the extreme right. They are advertising on a blog that is clearly aligned opposite to their usual audience. Such an odd way to spend their ad money.

    @Teri_Kanefield A 68-year-old having to check-in with a probation officer every time she wants to leave the county, submit to random drug/alcohol tests, and not associate with criminals (which I assume includes most of her clients and everyone on her current “friends list”) — UNTIL SHE’S 74!! While prison is the ultimate punishment for most of us, the loss of ANY privileges is most painful to the entitled.

    @Teri_Kanefield @Bam Cassidy Hutchinson knew when “the job” crossed the line. She sounded the alarm to her boss and she cautiously reversed course without his support. Mark Meadows isolated himself in his office and ignored everyone’s advice EXCEPT for the group phone texts instructing him to follow through with his predetermined part of an ill conceived plan that he participated in designing. If it had succeeded, he would no doubt be celebrating the part he played.

    @Teri_Kanefield WHEN is Trump most likely to flee the US and to WHERE? I assume his window of opportunity is currently open with only a finite amount of possibilities. I’m also convinced he has already started positioning himself alongside one (or more) of only a few possible foreign leaders willing to trade asylum for US secrets or destabilizing activities, allowing him to successfully flee justice. Sure he will lose much of his freedom to move about the globe, maybe even be confined to a mega yacht or island somewhere, but he retains at least some of his “king of disruption and chaos” schtick. A much more tolerable “prison” for his taste.
