Just for reference, I could have also gone with the term 'Sportsball Identity Disorder' but felt that would have been invalidating for people who believe their Sportsball Identity is real.
No lie, I got yelled at once when I was in high school for wearing the Wrong Sportsball Top.
We were at Dollar General, and one of the lunch ladies from my school saw me there and berated me for wearing a Texas Longhorns tee shirt and not an Arkansas Razorbacks shirt.
Like... come on lady, I'm not even wearing it for sports stuff, I'm wearing it because I liked the colors and art design better than the too-busy designs of the Razorback stuff.
I say don't make me famous for this sportsball reference and now I've got 50 boosts and 125+ shiny favstars on that post in less than 3 hours. That's Mastodon viral.
@revoluciana as silly as this is, I feel like it could maybe actually be a relatable analogy for a certain type of person who just hasn't empathized with dysphoria??
@revoluciana Oh, Goddess... I've been a fan of one sportsball team all my life, but kind of like this other sports team, and will be rooting for them this week because it's a big week for them... does that make me Sportsball-fluid? 😁
