modern gamers be like "oh noo my peestation 9 has only 68 teraflops per gigashit and a 420K output :((( dogshit console" while i'm playing puzzle bobble on my 18 year old console (the wii)
I think it's safe to add (giga/peta/tera)flops per second to the list of LCD display, LED diode/light, CD/DVD disc, SSD drive, ATM machine, PIN number, PDF format, GPS system, LAN network, RAID array, RAM memory, HTML language, GUI interface, SCSI interface, NIC card, SAT test, UPC code / ISBN number etc
Oh yesss it's all coming together, dump valve nulled and induction system tightened up extra, now just install that fuel pump upgrade and I should have a whole bunch of torque and power extra
"What's on your mind?"
oh idk the commercial supercomputers at work are pretty crazy, 3.5+ exaflops & 1.2 exabytes of near-singular compute performance per superpod, many superpods per building, many buildings per site, dozens of sites, and they can all be connected to form a singular supercomputer as soon as someone decides to want it badly enough. What someone could do with zettaflops worth compute power in a singular cluster with terabits of planetary interconnect power? idk play god probably
I thought I was getting used to the spiciness of the habaneros. Turns out I just got a weak one yesterday and today, in order to keep things balanced (as all things should be), the universe gave me a habanero blessed by Satan himself
@erin maybe you can work something out if you get a contract with a "we can kick you out on short notice at any time" clause, to get space that's currently unoccupied (is there still a lot of unoccupied office space? I think so?)
New user protip: Follow, follow, follow, and boost, boost, boost!
Get a nice smorgasboard of users on your feed so you get variety.
Unsure who to follow? Follow people that your interesting followings interact with. People who are interesting interact with other people who are interesting, and then you’ll get an even broader range of posts.
With boosting/sharing/repeating/reblogging, since there’s no algorithm, this is the closest analogue to that. Boost posts you find interesting, funny, worth sharing, or just because you want to – even boost your own posts if you want them to be exposed to your followers once more.
