I’m a designer and builder who had a really hard time during the pandemic and has taken a break from tech, and don’t want to spend a chunk of cash on something that until yesterday literally no one gave a fuck about.

A shame this thread degenerated into a cock-fight. I found the article useful as a particularly summary of the background when and if Threads opens up in the Fediverse. Till then I'm not taking any decisions so I don't have time to analyse or check the content. I was hoping someone else would so it could be tested.
Engaging with just the url and dissing the whole content on that point (right or wrong) is unhelpful.
