@GottaLaff, Of course, Baier never thought of asking if Trump routinely mixed classified documents and "things" together, and if he had other boxes at his other properties that contain more classified docs.
@GottaLaff "these boxes were interspersed with all kinds of things" doesn't seem to be the defense he thinks it is. Is he going for the foolishly incompetent defense, rather than the wilfully treacherous?

@GottaLaff at some point, years ago, i wondered, probably with many people, how smart trump really was, and how much he just did what he did because of how effective it was, how conscious that was. There is not much doubt left, he has some talent for getting people riled up, but smart, that he is not.
@GottaLaff@tshirtman it might be an unpopular opinion, but i think he actually is pretty smart, but his narcissism is so incapacitating it literally won't let him do the right or "smart" thing. or it completely blinds him to reality.
i bet if you pitched his problems to him as if it was a political or business rival, he'd pretty astutely tear into them. but he's blind/incapacitated cause it involves himself.
@GottaLaff He's still trying out different defenses I guess. I mean even this one makes no sense. If he was too busy to separate his stuff from the classified documents, he should have handed over all of his boxes because the government agents were perfectly willing to search through for classified documents.

he was not too busy. He has zero responsibilities. Yes, he chooses to do stuff like rallies and golf tournaments but dealing with the docs was a legal responsibility. Its like a kid saying he is too busy to do homework because he plsys video games.
@GottaLaff watching clips of this insane interview, rather than reading transcripts, I am struck by Trump's repeated use of the present tense in reference to the boxes. Some of them are past tense but some he is not giving back " yet". He still has boxes. We sorta knew that but this seems like evidence. It isn't just one slip of the tongue. #TrumpIndictment

With the Washington Post reporting today what any one with half a brain could see since January 7, 2021: PMURT will not be tried, or convicted, or incarcerated. @GottaLaff As I've mentioned previously, when you read articles that relate what Trump has said, you have to see whether you're reading an article from the onion or from Neal Borowitz writing for The New Yorker.
