@DrALJONES
They're murdering with impunity, for what the Israeli govt no doubt sees as supporting their inhuman enemy. Israel must respect the human rights of all... and ideally have an election ASAP!
@DigitalTaoist@DrALJONES The people of that country support this, they just don't support the PM. Elections provide an opportunity for new group of murderers
@ZillaMon@DrALJONES
No, there are a good many left wing Israelis who don't want this, and some of them were arrested at the recent protest-demanding the return of the hostages. Before that, with Netanyahu's power grab over the judiciary, Netanyahu's govt/police treated dissent with only brutality - it's in the background of that that the Hamas attack occurred (because many IDF were refusing to return to service/back the Net. dictatorship).
They've been pushing the "Palestinians aren't even human" propaganda for so long that the majority seem to actually believe it to be the case, evidently 😢
@DrALJONES@DigitalTaoist I can check. However the Guardian did a great reporting on this. According to the Guardian the population are aggrieved by Netanyahu's handling of the negotiations with hamas and the relationships with the US but not the conduct of the war.
@DrALJONES@DigitalTaoist@ZillaMon It would be interesting to see how this correlates with what media respondents have consumed. I suspect that the full consequences of IDF action are not well represented in mainstream Israeli media and (possibly optimistically) imagine it would be different if they were seeing pictures of emaciated children.
@DrALJONES the IDF are murderers, and when this is all over those murderers will be free to travel the world, smile and pet dogs like they're normal....when they are not.
(The dogs will know too, they always do)
