@etherdiver This is some wild isht. I'm pretty okay with it not sounding like Zep. Lots of zoomy, distorted synth tones. Like Eno but manic. I think there's actual playing in it.
Seriously tho, I'm truly floored to see that many people checking out my weird-ass music. I know that's nothing in the grand scheme of things, but for a no-name artist doing all their own promo, working in an extremely niche corner of an already niche genre, it feels pretty good!
@etherdiver It seems that in this day and age, many people are interested in checking out no-name artists doing all their own promo (which is to say, VLPP (very low power promo).
Whatever other complaints we may have, when I started recording, a half century ago there was only cassettes in the car trunk. Now, you can reach the entire world with just an Internet connection.
@etherdiver I just took a look at Bandcamp sales from the past 60 days are the equivalent of 38,000 Spotify streams. Thank you Mastodon and Bluesky!
