We're back to the same people with the same views doing the same thing 160 years ago and now all of the other deep red majority white states are all in. This is Christian White Nationalism at it's worst.

It theoretically ended segregation. The red states are still fighting it to this day. Look at the full takeover of Jackson, MS. Sad. All of the big metro cities in the south are toast, their votes do not count anymore, fully gerrymandered out of any power for decades at minimum. The courts in all these states are fully stacked red.

Gotcha, I know, born in '64. Done a lot of history reading the last few years. The southern strategy of the GOP was a direct result of the ending of segregation, they just couldn't stand it.

edit: and Terry vs Ohio was around the time integration finally happened, alas it was not documented in our history books. I learned about it from that YouTuber I linked to... he brings up the systemic issues due to the series of outrageous supreme court decisions that inherently allow police brutality especially those that involve murder (or as they call it 'manslaughter').

I want to add that the grift is to defund public schools, and funnel those taxpayer dollars into churches and religious “nonprofit” but privately controlled pockets.
This is the movement, not isolated.

So he's saying that all the white people in Tulsa just hated a single shoe-shiner enough to riot, murder and burn down an entire community (over something the shoe-shiner never did) because he was a shoe-shiner. Yeah, that makes perfect sense if you're somebody trying to re-write history.
