@fifeplaguedoc yeah, the losing track of it part can be really difficult. Like, she won't remember she ever put it anywhere or even touched it until we find it and then she'll be like, "OH YEAH, I did that a week ago"
@AbandonedAmerica i told my wife dear i'm NOT putting them back because i left them were they belong. JUST MY OPINION divorce two weeks later. Wonder if that had anything to do with it?
@AbandonedAmerica This even more fun when one partner is convinced that the only way to organise things is this way, while the other partner knows in their heart of hearts that things should be organised *that * way.
@AbandonedAmerica that’s me! I grew up in chaos. My husband grew up in a house with hospital-clean floors. It’s not enough to put the scissors back where I found them, if they aren’t in the exact same position, I did it wrong. Opposites attract.
@AbandonedAmerica This is weird for me because my first and only roguelike was dwarf fortress adventurer mode, so my first thought was "well, check the backpack, pretty sure I saw a dragon corpse and a wheelbarrow in there earlier, plus a book shelf and dozens of assorted weapons."
@ranx haha my wife doesn't blame me but she does ask me where her stuff is all the time so I have become much more aware of where things like her glasses, keys, and phone are whenever I see them

My husband NEVER put anything back. We were married over 51 years when he passed away. I gave away about six hammers, twelve screw drivers, sixteen measuring tapes, bit sets too many to keep track of, etc.
He’d just buy a new one of whatever he couldn’t find……. 🤷♀️🥴 Ya. Three kids and two working parents, there were more pressing things to fight over 😜😜
