Let's start with their insistence they became sentient after gobbling up more data from being mobile and can drive itself to new sources, and that your choice of destinations won't match the life choices it now reroutes you to.
Have you forgotten the entire fleet is now non-autonomous, disregards traffic regs, and are known to splatter riders curb to curb.

Someone at HQ had the brilliant idea of equipping all monitoring cars with a laser pointing system, so offenders could be live scanned. "No one will escape law's long arm", they said. One smart kid with very bad tendencies stole one such car. With a little tinkering turned the laser scanner into a mini death-ray. That smart kid, a middle-school girl, even unlocked the remote control system, and now she can create mayhem from her room, god knows where… #WritingPrompt

"We're live boss" Toby swung the roof cam around capturing the scene.
"Look, it's burning around them, no one cares!" Jared was staring out the window "This is journalism eh Gary?"
Gary stopped the car, turned in his seat "What do you mean?"
"Like I've been saying, I bet no one's even called the cops!"
"You're behind this. How? Why?"
Pretending not to hear Jared got out, people ignored him, he threw a brick through a window. "Look, no looting!"

At that moment, the 2nd floor of Sy's Sexcapades exploded into the street before them. Birdie swung the car hard. "A portal opened!" Ick cried, "Not Sy's!"

Sound advice, so Wayne told him to work up the specifications and order a new Batmobile. A week later Batman was hard pressed to chase the Joker, only to find that the car was white and pink with yellow highlights.

To make matters worse, it was a Ford and meant to be a Fire Chief’s car; the AI would only go to fires. Batman had to get out and walk.
Through hell and high water, he was going to get it done.
It didn't really matter that future generations of people were likely going to never come after the climate crisis, he was going to make damn sure Google streetview got this update of the world on fire.
All this effort for the small chance people may still survive, could witness the destruction, and prevent humanity from ever repeating their mistakes.
But we're awfully good a repeating our mistakes...
