A small square of paper falls to the floor from the library book I’m holding.

Small square letters, written in blue ink, someone’s forgotten list.

Carnations
Duct tape
Gum Drops
Salt

I turn the paper over, there’s nothing on the back.

Why would someone need this particular combination of items?

For some reason, I’m thinking something nefarious is involved.

I decide I’m being an idiot, and make the list my new bookmark.

This morning I chased the moon. Looked out the window as I brushed my teeth and saw the most amazing setting moon, so I put on (yesterday's) clothes and ran. Ran right out the door to chase the moon... #moon #goodmorning #Boxingday #smallstories
