I have an account with Nord VPN and just signed up for Proton Unlimited which includes Proton VPN. Any thoughts on which VPN service is better? Any use case for two VPNs?
@ProfessorFalken I use everything that @protonprivacy offers, including Email, VPN, Drive and Pass. To me it's the best of the best as I just switched from Gmail after 20+ years to Proton about 3 - 4 months ago. You can read my article on the #AllThingsTech blog.
I feel their VPN is really good. Never known a reason to have two if you use one that offers everything you need.
As my profile says, I'm just an old retired out exploring this new-to-me thing called the Fediverse. I consider myself a geek but a bit of an odd one in that I do love all things computer and technology related but am not into the usual comic book, sci-fi, video game, etc. activities often associated with geekdom. My other interests are antiques, collectibles, resellng, and photography. Other than that, feel free to ask as I am an open book. Oh, I also like the movie War Games :-) #introduction
Well I have done it. I have finished my move to Proton. The final bit was moving my iCloud email over and I just did that. All my emails are now going to my proton account, even my domain email.
So, that makes email and passwords/passkeys that I’ve divorced Apple of. That will probably be it though for the foreseeable future as my family is quite engulfed in the Apple ecosystem for our workflow.
@beardedtechguy Very nice! Any specific reason for the switch to @protonprivacy or any particular reason for the switch away from Apple with regards to this stuff?
Now, if we could just get all of the #AllThingsTech stuff to use Proton, that would be absolutely amazing!
