Fed up with the bland generic colour gradient playlist artwork that Apple Mudic now uses for some inexplicable reason?
Me too.
The Apple Shortcut at the link below was posted to the Apple Forums discussion where people are moaning about it. The Shortcut builds a cover image from a Playlist you select and saves it to Photos. You can then use it as the artwork. It has many options. And it works.
Every day I find a new way in which #AppleShortcuts is broken (today: search predicates for Reminders).
How can a company like Apple gut most of their existing scripting and automation tooling and replace it with Shortcuts and then, apparently, not really maintain it very well?
Regression bugs happen but I feel like maybe this one should have been caught by a test suite. It's pretty basic (can apple shortcuts search apple notes for a note that has a tag without just totally choking).
Was messing around with #AppleShortcuts again tonight and think I really got my head around pulling data from JSON. I’m sure lots of other people were doing the same on a Saturday night 😂

What’s the best way to read and write CSV tables using the #Shortcuts app?
I’m using the “Split Text” to read them. But to get rows and columns separately, it requires quite some for each loops hacks.
For writing I‘m using Numbers to add it to a table. Though Numbers’ actions only allow to add to existing tables/files. Also it’s not a CSV then.
Maybe I’m missing some suitable system action? Or is there a cool (free) app that can help with that? #Help#AppleShortcuts

I created two Apple Shortcuts this morning that let you start a stream (or any activity) and then record time stamps. This could be useful for clips or for study notes, or for recording issues during a podcast recording. It’s super bare bones, but I liked the challenge:
