Watched the season 2 finale of #MinatosLaundromat#MinatoShoujiCoinLaundry and maybe it's my age or the lack of expectations or the fact that I've learned to read a show's tone but went to tumblr to explore the tag and found many many angry posts about it. I knew it was a silly, lighthearted show from the start. And like... so many of the posts make me believe they were expecting something deeper or more dramatic but even the drama was always so silly. I mean... amnesia plot? /1
There's nothing more frustrating than discourse about #BL.
Especially if every cultural context of the media, and/or the origin-country's LGBTQ+ history is completely ignored. Because the whole world is white and American.... of course.
If a western feminist outlet even fails to do it right, it shows how broken the discourse is.
OMG The Sasaki and Miyano Graduation Arc movie is coming out this month on Sept 28! I'm so excited about a movie about this couple as I found their romance to be sweet and beautifully written.
