Dopo una vita su #tusky riprovo a usare #fedilab, l'ultima volta ricordo che mangiava batteria come se non ci fosse un domani, ma PixeldFed è meglio implementato che su Tusky.
Ma è cambiata tantissimo l'interfaccia o è impressione mia?
La bellezza del Fediverso non sta solo nella struttura dei server, ma dipende anche dalla varietà di client disponibili per accedere alla rete. Laddove Twitter è ora estremamente severo su quali app possono collegarsi alla rete, Fediverse dà il benvenuto a tutti gli utenti sulla piattaforma! E sebbene Mastodon sia sicuramente l'attore più grande, non è assolutamente l'unico elefante nella stanza.
Scegliere il giusto client per il Fediverso può migliorare significativamente la tua esperienza con la piattaforma. Che tu sia un utente occasionale alla ricerca di un'interfaccia semplice sul tuo smartphone o un utente esperto che ha bisogno di lavorare su più account o istanze, c'è un client là fuori per te.
Hai ragione, dimenticavo che tante piattaforme sono fork più o meno lontane da Mastodon quindi molte app funzionano per tante cose. Sì penso che gli autori Hackaday intendessero “i nostri client non ufficiali preferiti”…dopotutto si occupano più di hardware e di elettronica :)

Mastodon feature question of the day: why can't I 'follow' or 'subscribe' to a toot? Like if I somebody asks a question and I want to keep up to date with that people answer to it, why can't I subscribe to that toot so I get a notification if somebody comments something.
If your instance supports quoting or reactions, you can use these options with #Fedilab.
Just go in settings and enable extra-features.
This is not a super-power, your instance must support and also follow conventions
You are many to join #Fedilab. We will improve the UX for adding several accounts. We have been warned about this issue.
If you have several accounts, Fedilab has an interesting feature for you.
Just long press action buttons (boost, like, bookmark, reply, follow, etc.)
That will allow you to finish the action with another account without switching.
The app will do everything in the background for you (search, federate, do the action). So you will never lose what you were doing.
Do any apps allow you to login to multiple #fedi accounts and view all of the timelines combined? #fedilab ?
That is, merge #mastodon, #pixelfed, etc. Homes into a single Home... Same for notifications, local feeds, global feeds etc? For extra credit, boost across multiple accounts.
@limebar@elsemusic Toot! doesn’t present all timelines in a single one, but it does let me switch between multiple Pixelfed accounts and Mastodon with one tap. If that helps.

Ich würde sogar die GIT Version eher empfehlen, die sieht besser aus 😉
Eigentlich müsste sie über die F-Droid App zu finden sein, zumal sie auch nicht über ein Entra-Repo angeboten wird. Ansonsten halt über https://f-droid.org/packages/com.poppingmoon.aria/ oder auch https://github.com/poppingmoon/aria. Über letztere Seite steht sogar schon die Version 0.7.0 als APK zum Download bereit, während F-Droid noch bei v0.6.1 steht.
I've a big whish. Please add the possibility to follow a single person from another instance (which is potentially blocked by my instance), via the timeline feature.
It's possible to follow a complete Mastodon instance with #fedilab, but it would be nice to follow only a single account (like @potus), because following @threads.net makes no sense (for me).
