I've been looking for Mega Man reviews on the Game Boy, as they were all added to the Nintendo Switch Online service this weekend.
But besides the first 3, I'm having a hard time finding any.

A little extra for today.
The brand new rescan of Club Nintendo Volume 5 Issue 1 - 1993 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.

As always with these rescans of magazines I did more than a decade ago, this one has much more accurate colour levels as well as extra shadow detail and overall sharpness.

Here are 3 ways to play your favorite old #GameBoy games without giving your money to a fascist:

  1. Get an emulation-based handheld. Companies like Anbernic have gotten good at this actually! https://anbernic.com
  2. Mod authentic hardware. FunnyPlaying’s parts are reliably high quality. https://funnyplaying.com
  3. Get an FPGA-based handheld. The premium option is the hard-to-get Analogue Pocket. (FunnyPlaying makes one too)

It took them a very long time, but Limited Run finally got both the regular Game Boy as well as the newly done Game Boy Color version of Trip World to me.

Built a gameboy camera printer for someone, I'm kinda jelly because it's better then the one I built myself. Used a vape battery a esp8266 together with a Tp4056 charge board. When connected to a gameboy you can tell the camera to print to the esp8266, when reset it turns into a WiFi hot-spot so you can download the photos to your phone. This is the firmware that I flashed to the esp8266 https://github.com/HerrZatacke/wifi-gbp-emulator/blob/master/beginner_setup_guide.md

N-Force 2 - August 1992 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.

The magazine has an extra cover that wraps around to add the postcards on the back, so I've included the inside cover here as well as they look a ton nicer.

This issue can be downloaded here:

Enjoy! 😙

Having grown up as became a “thing”, I splurged on one of the many handhelds for me and my son. He’s an avid gamer of the generation.

Impressed by this little device, the Miyoo Mini+, which can be had for $60 to $80. Emulators for a bunch of handhelds and consoles. There are more powerful / larger options and plenty of software mods you can do.

Now my son wants us to start a YT channel and “review” old games as if they just launched. 🙄

Made a replacement Gamepad ("Mouse") for a Super Quique laptop using a gutted aftermarket SNES pad.

Added the wiring diagram and other details on how to make one to the MegaDuck info page.

The multiplexing seems similar to what I understand the DMG/MGB use. (Not a surprise since it's a clone)
