@Bryan as someone well into their 40s, it’s unsurprising I’d never heard of this before.
These drinks have similar ABV as malt liquor: Each BORG (1 gal) has a fifth of vodka (750 mL), which is typically 80 proof (40% ABV), so the end result is roughly 8% ABV. So, if someone drank just a pint of this, it wouldn’t be excessive.
But drinking a whole GALLON (almost 4 liters) of this stuff, holy crap!!! It’s basically the same as chugging a gallon of malt liquor, strong beer, or weak wine.
@Bryan that said, I’ll sometimes mix up my powered sports drink in a gallon jug, and from now on I’m going to call that a “virgin BORG” 🤣 (although I’ve never drank the end product in one day)
No, it just means they're swapping one gold rush for another. Watch as the value of vocational #Trades plummets due to oversupply, like the value of undergraduate degrees did.
This, of course, is why framing education as a financial investment is a silly idea.
"#GenZ students are choosing a trade over #College. That shows they’re smart
"Young people are increasingly opting to train as plumbers, electricians, welders and carpenters and similar vocations..."
No one on TYT actually gives a shit about any of these issues that they use to endear themselves to younger Americans. Just fake virtue signaling. Easier to do to younger people.
TYT is a part of the loose sabotage network that attempts to upend potus elections every four years. Just like the "green party".
You seldom see strong fashion stories on @medium (a shame IMO, because we all wear clothes and they say so much about us). But the young Medium writer Jee Young Park show how well they can work in this story that defends the controversial 2024 MetGala by showing how much she valued the museum as a Korean-American growing up in New Jersey:
Nearly half of Gen Z and millennial workers have left a job, or plan to, because of climate concerns

The era of “global boiling” is here, sending shivers down young worker’s spines. But instead of sitting with their anxiety, Gen Z and millennials are trying to save the planet by quitting jobs that aren’t eco-friendly.
I have some #GenZ coworkers and was telling them about how we used to take our car stereo face plates with us when we left the car back in the days when stereos weren't integrated into the dash and you wanted a nice one.
@renwillis I absolutely had an aftermarket one in my 240 that had this feature. I don’t think I once used it, though. It was a 240. No one was gonna try and boost that.
@renwillis Fun story:
Sis "inherited" dad's baby blue Saab 99 with a POS stereo in it when she went off to Uni.
One morning every single car had been broken into on the parking lot and their stereos taken... except in sis car there was a better one lying on the seat.
Our guess is that the thieves had realized THAT one was worthless, broken into my sis' car, found that one even WORSE and just dumped the better one in her seat.
Dad installed it a week later after the police didn't want it.
Young people generally do believe in a higher power. To their credit, they do not believe in hatred, greed, or hypocrisy. Those raised in hateful churches are looking for another way to connect with the divine.
Good for them for grasping what is most important for that journey: love for others. They may feel lost, but they are going in the right direction by leaving places that basically worship white cis het identity.
