Whilst out the most Northerly tip of Angelsey today, just outside Cemas. The weather was so clear, you could see all the way across to the Isle of Man and the hills/mountains near Douglas and Castletown.
Met some locals from Cemas who said that they can't remember the last time they could see across that far.
Not a great shot with a pixel 6 pro camera... It's days like this I wish I had my Pentax X5 bridge camera on me. I really should keep it in the car again.
Sunny lunch break = first ride for more than a year on my #Triumph Tiger Explorer
(hadn't been able to support it's weight after breaking my ankle at the end of 2022, so it's been sat in the garage waiting for this moment 😬)
Only a few miles to make sure it - and I - still worked, but felt great to have it out on the road again 😎

#LegendaryWednesday: On the #IsleofMan the goddess of winter is called Caillagh ny Groamagh (“gloomy old woman”).

#Celtic#LegendaryWednesday: The legend of the #Cailleach, goddess of winter, can be found not only in #Ireland, but in #Scotland and the #IsleOfMan, too. She is associated with winter, and the creation of the landscape. The Cailleach displays several traits befitting the personification of winter: she herds deer, she fights spring, and her staff freezes the ground.

The Cailleach, or “Veiled One,” was a Celtic goddess who ruled over the winds and winter. She is also known as as the Queen of Air and Darkness. She was a patron of animals especially wolves. She was neither good or evil in lore. #SuperstitiionSat
Another early digital piece from 2013. This was referenced from a photo I took at Druidale, Isle of Man. A very special, beautiful place in the mountains. #DigitalArt#DigitalPainting#IsleOfMan#Woodland
Q. If the #IsleofMan does (as it seems it will) legalise #assisteddying, will there need to be 'border controls' to stop those seeking this exit from popping over the water to the IoM to take advantage of its legality (thereby shielding their friends & family form police investigation)?
While this is relatively easily handled when the patient (and supporters) are heading to Zurich, its going to be a lot more difficult for the state to police if there just popping over a bit of the Irish Sea!
Just got back from a week on the #IsleOfMan. Yes it’s a small, wet, windy rock slap-bang in the middle of the Irish Sea, but it’s largely unspoiled, the people are welcoming and it was great to get in touch with my heritage, as my maternal great-great grandmother was Manx. 🇮🇲
Difficult to pick four photos from the 300 I took, but here we go!
