I see Round Records put the new Garcia Live up on #Bandcamp. Does this mean we can look forward to them releasing more of the back catalog? #JerryGarcia

Jerry Garcia explains his dislike for Eddie Van Halen
Grateful Dead guitarist and co-founder Jerry Garcia didn't particularly appreciate the sounds Eddie Van Halen constructed as a key part of their sonic identity.
In today’s NY Times is a story about Master Tapes Rescue, an outfit that preserves old studio tapes that contains this nugget about tapes they have found:
“we found a Jerry Garcia tape from the ’70s, a soundtrack he did that’s never been released.”
Does anyone on here know the story behind why the Mickey Hart/Zakir Hussain-led Diga Rhythm Band changed the track order between the original LP release and the subsequent CD/streaming version?
My assumption is that they originally wanted to lead off with the #JerryGarcia guest spot, despite Sweet Sixteen and Magnificent Sevens being better opening tracks (imo). But who knows for sure. Nothing I found online gave any rationale for the shuffle.
50 years ago tonight, #JerryGarcia & merl saunders in #berkeley. tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY7iqO8y6Uw&list=UUu7poT1k8JJinlkKL-tr5uw&t=5225s
3/9/74 keystone berkeley: 26-minute ROAD RUNNER > HARDER THEY COME, kreutzmann (or e.w. wainwright?) pushes into funkier place than usual. nudged by garcia, they drop into HARDER THEY COME, a rare & boss segue for the gang. 1st circulating AIN’T NO WOMAN (LIKE THE ONE I GOT), 1972 four tops’ single, smooth R&B as sweet instrumental soul-jazz for spidery garcia & fierro. #garciafreaksunite#jg030974
Here's a cool find from my days in LA. I had a long-time guitar student who's family owned/ran The Spectrum and founded the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. They had a scrapbook full of autographs and notes from bands and people who had performed there. I don't remember much else from the book, but I did get pics of a couple pages for my archive.
50 years ago tonight, #JerryGarcia & merl saunders at a snazzy old movie house in moraga, deep in the east bay. can see a movie at the rheem tonight, if you want. soundboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_TGsBgH5ew [1/2]
#NowPlaying - sunday evening garcia/grisman, the luxe new 2xLP "so what" reissue, #acoustic#jazz, 1990-1992. a project made for analog, sounding just unbelievably wonderful. once past the head, "milestones" seems to suit garcia best, moody & midtempo & made for spidering. too bad about the unchill percussion on most of the jams. i guess it was the '90s. @vinylrecords#JerryGarcia
#NowPlaying - the kentucky colonels, feat. scotty stoneman on #fiddle, live in LA, spring & summer 1965, about a year after #JerryGarcia was regularly following & taping them. aces #bluegrass picking by clarence & roland white, but stoneman's fiddle (& the instrumentals) are the selling point, sounding infinite/timeless/oceanic for bars at a time. shoulda played with henry flynt! plus, garcia on stoneman. @vinylrecords
50 years ago tonight, #JerryGarcia & merl saunders (with bill kreutzmann) at the pauley ballroom in #berkeley, a benefit for the black panther-founded community center in #oakland. MC’d by legendary blank panther artist emory douglas, with the panther-affiliated acts messiah & the intercommunal youth band. tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB9lwpoX1mk [1/2]
50 years ago tonight, #JerryGarcia & merl saunders in #berkeley, the 1st taped gig of ’74, though they’re already a few deep. martin fierro is a full-time sax/flute player & billy kreutzmann drums on most of the gigs in early part of the year. the dead might have time off, but garcia & drummer stay locked. tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFAr_Uny5hY [1/2]
