The problem with transportation in Canada: taking public transit is seen by most as much less sexy than driving a big black luxury SUV. A lot of people see transit users as losers, by definition. And I don't see this changing any time soon.
@BeardlyDavid@Jgmeadows For some odd reason, i read this thread and thought of #ottawa, where its almost like it was really well planned that the #lrt wouldn’t work, blow its budget, and fail consistently as a replacement solution to a bus system that was working pretty well at some point…
…that is now redeployed as a stop-gap for the failing lrt, as public transportation prices are rising without other cause than mismanagement and lack of vision.

In my IT experience, most failed projects had the seeds of failure planted when requirements gathering wasn't done properly. Bad requirements = inaccurate timelines and faulty budgets. Would love to know Metrolinx did the requirements for the Crosstown line... #topoli#onpoli

As she approaches exit gate of the station, she encounters a stray cat casually sitting on top of the scanner that commuters need to tap before entering or exiting the station.
