There is something seriously wrong with #Christofascists, like #MikeHuckabee. It's a rot that's based deep in their #Christian genes. It's a lack of #humanity and decency that they justify with performative piety. And it also reflects a sadistic, corrupt worldview in which education is for suckers, and those who got saddled with unpayable loans deserve their suffering.
What the despicable Mike Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, is doing here should be seen for what it is: this is a threat. By predicting violence if Trump doesn't win in 2024, Huckabee is blessing violence, endorsing violence, eliciting violence, with the underlying claim that he and the minority of voters with whom he stands have the right to overthrow the Republic if the majority elects the "wrong" person.
It wasn't a hint. He flat-out said that if #Republicans don't win in 2024, they will abandon #democracy and seek to seize power through political #violence. It was as clear a #threat to the #Constitution and our #democratic principles as you will ever hear from a member of the political class. If that doesn't scare you, take a moment to consider what #MikeHuckabee's ideal America would look like, and the #consequences of imposing that vision through violence.
@slcw Huckabee is not only endorsing, but evidently even promising insurrection & terrorism to overthrow a possible non-"GOP"-led government:
"...if these tactics end up working to keep Trump from winning, or even running in 2024, it is going to be the last American election that will be decided by ballots rather than bullets."
