Hm. I just discovered that Moleskine has a note app called Minimal that lets you publish to a website… unfortunately, it’s their own. Otherwise, it’s a neat little app. It ages your notes and notifies you when they are about to be deleted.
So, today I unwrapped a NOS #Moleskine notebook, that I had stored in a drawer for some years (no sunlight!), and it is horrible. The paper around the edges is heavily yellowed and you can clearly see, where the bookmark was wrapped around the edge.
Also, the paper has terrible bleed when used with #FountainPens … honestly, I really don't like it. My #Leuchtturm1917 notebooks are much better in every way.
Am I just out of luck with this one? Or are Moleskines just that bad?
I need #notebook recommendations. See mansplainer disclaimer below.
#Moleskine hardback #notebooks are not worth it. They used to be. Now they do not hold up. I've gone through 3 of them recently, each time I had to abandon unused pages because the spine of the cover separated from the page binding. Every one, same thing.
I am not that rough with my notebooks. In fact by the third one, I started to baby it instead of just using the thing however I felt like it. The glue is simply cheap and sucks.
(Reply guy mansplainer disclaimer: Please don't respond if you don't actually have firsthand experience, I know how Google works too. Also dont tell me how to glue book spines back together, that's not the point. )
