@ia I appreciate your step into #notebooks as a software developer but 69€ is way too overpriced. I really like the concept of your notebook but your competitors sell theirs for a fraction of your price. 🖋️ #fountainpen
Shameless blatant begging post : What fountain pen inks are you running with this month, and what has been your favorite this last month?
I am mildly irritated by the dryness of Diamine Registrar's, and Noodlers' Inks still somehow manage to beat my expectations (Twisbi Eco with Rome Burning, Pilot Metro with Antietam). #fountainpens#inks#notebooks
Something I'd be interested in that I can't seem to find:
A low-powered Linux laptop with an e-ink display, that I could use for long-form writing or coding.
What I've found so far are mostly either
Tablets intended for note-taking (like the ReMarkable or BOOX's various lines)
Higher-end where the e-ink display is an extra (like Lenovo's swivel designs where you rotate the display to use either an OLED or e-ink).
Some of the tablets do have keyboard cases, which would be better than just hooking up a random Bluetooth keyboard, but it doesn't look like I can just install programs on them, except for the Android ones, which aren't going to be ideal for things like coding or running build scripts or anything like that.
The closest I found was the Modos Paper Laptop, but seems to still be in the prototype phase.
Does this form factor exist yet? Am I just having trouble finding them because of the current state of search?
I finally got a starter discbound notebook from Talia. It came with planner pages and stickers and lots of lined paper. I took out the planner stuff since I have my Hobonichi Hon for that. I’m planning on trying this out as a commonplace notebook. The lined paper is surprisingly very fountain pen-friendly. I don’t like the spacing of the lined paper, but it’s fine for notes and such. Thought I’d mention, if anyone’s looking for a starter discbound notebook.
Very interesting. I stumbled across this page searching for pocket-sized discbound notebooks (mainly want to find tiny discs). They specialize in D&D notebooks but have other gaming-themed notebooks such as a “farmer’s almanac” for games like Animal Crossing, etc.
Just tried Diamine Oxblood for the first time and I'm a bit...underwhelmed. It looks like it doesn't shade very much, and looks just uniform brown, as opposed to Noodler's Antietam that can go from anywhere from red-orange to red-brown/dark-red.
Anyone got similar ideas? ...tbf I also have a bottle of Diamine Writer's blood that I can mix with it probably. 🤔 #inks#notebooks#fountainpens

I have a few Lamy Safaris and started with one myself.
Good taste in #notebooks too (#Leuchtturm1917)
Well, I have experience with several 'digital' #notetaking systems, but they mostly require special #notebooks or paper and other hardware. But all concentrated in a single pen makes--at first glance--a lot of sense.
Hello, planner people! I was wondering if any of you would know of a planner that has the vertical weekly view of the Hobonichi Cousin/Hon, and a bunch of undated pages for notes or journaling? I kind of want a Hobonichi Day-Free planner, but with a section at the front with a vertical weekly 2-page spread for logging my day’s activities, food, etc. Does this exist (and is fountain pen friendly)?? Or will I have to somehow roll my own?
"Keepers of private notebooks are a different breed altogether, lonely and resistant rearrangers of things, anxious malcontents, children afflicted apparently at birth with some presentiment of loss."
Sounds about right.

Trying to remember, did Traveler's Company ever make a half-thickness insert for the #TravelersNotebook ? As in a standard regular-sized insert, but with half the number of pages? For some reason I thought there was one, but can't find any reference to it.
