Saw the from my doorstep in light polluted central . Appeared as a beam of slowly moving white light. Didn’t have the means to get a decent photo…but it was definitely there!

RT by @CarolineLucas: 🌱 Thank you to everyone who voted Green yesterday! Six Green Party councillors have been elected to the city council, meaning the council is under no overall control.

There are still no on City Council. Rejoice!

picked up two new councillors…one in probably the most deprived ward of the city, Mile Cross.

Usual poor reporting from EDP, who give a huge percentage of article to …who won precisely no seats.

I don’t blame City Council for tenants exercising their ‘Right to Buy’ their council home.

Goldsmith Street was groundbreaking in building social housing to a Passivehaus standard. It stands out as being exceptional 5 yrs later.

It’s the that allow prized social assets to be transferred into private hands, while making it very hard for the proceeds to be used to build new social housing.

Award-winning may be sold off under

Have the Tories learn anything, do they simply not care, or do they think the buyers will vote for them?

More social housing is sold of in England, a continuation of Thatcher’s ruinous policies. Will Starmer retain it?

Just a reminder. Scotland and Wales removed this STUPID policy years ago. An easy example of sanity being brought to bear with devolved assemblies. Roll on independence.

I have been in the local print and broadcast media today regarding the launch of the Left Out in the Cold report for which I attended the Parliamentary reception last week.

It might be March, but the fight starts now to prepare for next winter. We can’t continue to allow people to die from cold.

I saw a comedy show in in the late 90’s.

I have a recollection of the guy who did it talking through the laws regarding stage hypnotism. The main thing I recall was it was important to make sure folks had completely come out of the trance before allowing them off the stage.

It was an ok night out, but I didn’t like people being unaware they were the butt of the jokes.

I would love for City Council to follow the precedent now set by of tripling the hourly cost of parking for .

I fear for my children’s safety and lungs with these tanks lumbering around my city.

But because the city’s transport policy is determined by a single county councillor without public debate, it’s highly unlikely any time soon.

Decisions in the interests of those who live in the city cannot constantly be made in secrecy by those who live and represent areas outside of it.

I don’t personally know anyone living inside the city who owns an SUV.

I know a lot of cyclists, pedestrians, bus riders and small vehicle owners who dream of a cleaner, safer and more breathable city.

Keep SUVs off city streets.

I actually forgot to post here about last week's Group meet which was really busy and a lot of fun - I'll post some more pics at a later date.

For now though here's a highlight - one of our members created their own box for their A1200! How cool is this? And far sturdier than any cardbox box it would have originally shipped in.

This is a naff photo of the inside, where there's space for the Amiga itself. an ArcadeR joystick and some other things (presumably a PSU) which are not in there at this moment. All customised specifically to safely house the computer and peripherals. Very nice indeed.
