Another #Tory former chancellor decides they don’t want the electorate to have the opportunity to pass judgment on their poor record in government…and hey there’s a revolving door to pastures more lucrative.

All these stories about certain racist, hate-filled people crossing the floor and defecting to the Labour party, and no one has picked up the real story yet.

The Labour party has defected to the Tory party. They are now one.

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨

In a crushing blow to Rishi , former Tory Chancellor Nadim Zahawi has announced he too is stepping down at the next election.

At the last count, he's the 61st Tory MP to announce they won't run again. More rats leaving the sinking ship... 🐀

Question for election psephologists: is Elpicke likely to win re-election in her own constituency as a Labour candidate?

(Genuine Q, I have no idea how popular/unpopular she is locally.)

Phil Moorehouse's argument is that the LCP is thinking 2 moves ahead here. It's not about this defector. It's about leaving the door open for at least one much more valuable defector to come.

The committee that made the decision has stronger stomachs than some, certainly. But my question is how come Reform UK Ltd either wasn't approached, or turned her away? This has to be a kick in the teeth for them.

I'm incensed to see say ”Winning the trust of people across past divides, such as leave and remain, or yes and no in Scotland, is vital.”

and independence are not past divides, they're current. Leaving the has been a disaster which in no way resembles the promises of the Leave campaign. deserves to be able to reassess the union as so much has changed since the vote a decade ago.

is continuity .

Direction of travel of English Nationalist policy is the abolition of the State Pension altogether. The richest man in Parliament refused to rule out retirement age increase by 8 years, from 67 to 75 to pay for his Government's moral & economic bankruptcy. Pitifully inadequate as it is, you can have paid National Insurance all your working life & expect zippo back at the end of it. An outrageous repudiation of the social contract. Tory philosophy is they can tax, & give none back.

Grant , formerly Energy Minister, signed off on policy without considering evidence, finds High Court. He "assumed" targets "would be met".

Now Grant Shapps is Defence Minister. Every day, we must assume he now signs off on defence policy, without evidence, assuming Britannia rules the waves, and that there's nothing that can compare to the British Grenadiers.

He's a former "get rich quick" web marketer who traded under the pseudonym "Michael Green".

In 2016 Cameron ran scared of Farage & the Kippers, & gave them the referendum they were agitating for to get rid of them.

8 years on, the Tories are still running scared of..Farage & his Rebrand Party...

That went well for the then...

Meanwhile, a resentful minority, including 2 of the constituent nations of the United Kingdom, suffered the confiscation of their EU citizenship rights against their will.

policy is to appease the Right Wing headbangers. Weak & unstable.

Turns out the smoking ban is part of their strategy to deter asylum seekers. Like who would want to make a new home in a country where they can’t even smoke? Most of the small boat crossings are local shopkeepers smuggling in gray-market tobacco anyway.

Great. A big thanks to all those dull gullible morons who voted , to and a corrupt useless inept PM and his cabinet of self serving crooks who went for a which means they were stupid enough to leave the EU single market.
Also a big thanks to the traitors and who took dirty Russian money in order to campaign for brexit, I'm sure they're both financially better off.
The UK needs a revolution to get these criminals locked up.

One more story from the NHS crisis.

To be clear, I don't blame the nurses & doctors in A&E who are encountering budget & capacity pressures that would make it difficult for anyone to do a good job.

As length of waiting times in A&E grow, so do deaths while waiting to be seen; but this is part of the crisis engineered by the Tories, not a managerial or staff training issue (which is not to say these have no impact).

The Tories health 'strategy' is killing us

Performative cruelty against the weakest; asylum seekers, the homeless, the disabled. Redoubled now for the elections. Such are the calling cards of the proto-fascists, who always walked among us, but whom we vaulted into power. Systematically stripping citizens & would-be residents of rights, dignity & security in the name of false "liberty" & "patriotism", 14 yrs of has produced the most pitifully awful & disgusting leaders & Governments in our modern history.
