FEMA update for 12/12 on Lower MS Valley to OH Valley tornado outbreak.

Severe weather moved across the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley beginning Sat, Dec 9 -10. The NOAA Storm Prediction Center reported 25 preliminary tornado touchdowns across the impacted region; with 13 preliminary tornado touchdowns in TN across 11 counites. All tornado watches and warnings in impacted states have expired. Today the low -pressure system from TN has moved into the NE bringing heavy snow and wintry precipitation. FEMA will coordinate with TN to conduct windshield surveys beginning today.

Due to the convective nature of the rainfall, precipitation was highly variable around the region with some locations above normal & some locations finishing the month below normal
