Skies will remain partly #cloudy for most of the #Northland Tuesday night with light #winds. Lows will be in the 30s and low 40s, leading to more patchy #frost in spots.
Clouds increase Wednesday as a #storm system approaches, with #showers by the evening. A lake #breeze continues, keeping #temperatures in the 50s by #LakeSuperior for highs, with 60s further inland.
Check your masks and run the air filters, #Minnesota.

An air quality alert for Red/Unhealthy for All continues for all of Minnesota. Smoke has reached St Cloud/ Marshall, and will soon reach the Twin Cities. The smoke is following a cold front moving from north to south and will linger overnight. #mnwx#aqi
All told, not a horrible showing (snowing?). Doesn't really begin to make up for the winter drought, but at least March is putting in some effort. #mnwxpic#mnwx
It will be the exact opposite over the next three days, as "the big one" (#winter#weather#storm#system) is on track to provide a lot of #snow, a lot of #wind, and some #rain for some of us.
Minnesota is supposed to get a big dump of snow, and I'm crossing my fingers that it hits the North Shore and the Grand Marais area. My kid has never snowboarded on good, fresh powder. It would be great if his second year of snowboarding would end with feet of fresh pow. Plus, they'd groom the Pincushion XC ski trails and I'd get a few km in. I'm only short ~950km of my goal. :)
"Minnesota has seen virtually no safe conditions for snowmobile trail riding, and little for cross-country skiing, for the first time in decades. This year’s John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon was scrubbed entirely. Officials at the American Birkebeiner Nordic ski race in Hayward, Wisconsin, are mulling if that event may have to be canceled due to virtually no snow on the ground in that area." #mnwx https://www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/local/non-winters-unsafe-ice-scrubs-annual-isle-royale-wolf-moose-survey
Seriously, #Minnesota? When does this become more than a temporary weather pattern, and more of a change in climate? This is not what January and February are supposed to look like.
Hi, I should do an #introduction. Unfortunately, I'm utterly terrible at introducing myself. I'm 29, almost 30, working from home. Right now I work for a cruise line.
I have a polar bear fursona but don't have art of him yet. Hopefully soon!
I'm #autistic and have #ADHD, sometimes they're very loud.
I'm from Minnesota, and sometimes post #mnwx stuff, also of my cat, memes, surrealist nonsense, and other nonsense.
...in other news, the temperature's dropped and we're supposed to get a smidgen of snow tonight. i just got back from the store and i'm still trynna warm up from being outside. 🥶 #MNwx#MNastodon
Duluth, Minnesota, which has a 92% historical average chance of a white Christmas, only had 1 inch of snowcover at the airport yesterday, which it is forecast to lose this week. Duluth is not forecast to have any snow on the ground on the morning of Dec. 25, 2023, joining 2006 and 1979 as the only other "Green Christmases" in the station's 70-year history. #mnwx
The 10-Day #weather forecast for the #TwinCitiesMN shows that the dead-fucking-middle of December is going to be in the mid 40s (US - Freedom Units). #MnWx#Minnesota
After a relatively quiet holiday weekend, the #weather has changed a bit today with a line of light #snow#showers passing through from west to east.
#Snowfall totals should be light (under 1"), but it's a different story for the South Shore Snowbelt. #LakeEffect will pick up tonight, leading to higher totals through Monday night.
