Uncanny artwork by mother nature. This foliage had grown on the rear window of our car during my working hours yesterday, with nothing out of the ordinary in the weather (–5°C and cloudy) to explain it. Yet in some subtle way the conditions must have been just right for it to occur.
#European personal #ornament dataset analysis shows that #Gravettian cultural geography is not explained by geographical proximity or shared biological descent. From personal ornaments, nine geographically discrete cultural entities across Europe were identified for the period 34-24,000 years ago.
A damaged wall cupboard serves as an #ornament on the #patio wall in our #garden. It houses plants, dig finds from the garden (glass bottles, a clay pipe, animal teeth, etc.) and a couple of framed, #vintage photographs, which I change frequently.
