folks - time to get out and . I didn't trudge around my neighbourhood last night in the bastard rain, delivering leaflets so you could let some Tory arsehole squeak a win.

There is also a real possibility that if the bastards get a proper thumping they'll call a general. So for once, every vote really might count.

and don't forget your

Anyone else in / been hearing adverts like this during podcasts?

Why is the Electoral Commission running ads in Wales (featuring an actress with a strong Welsh accent) advising that we need photo ID to vote in May? Wales has NO scheduled elections in May, and we wouldn’t need photo ID for local or Senedd elections anyway as they’re not subject to the same fatuous photo ID regulation as England.

Any ideas?

Voters turned away without amid local elections concerns.

“Do not allow them to turn you away from voting without going inside to the poll clerk, so that it gets recorded.”

While the intention behind introducing photo ID for elections is clearly meant to benefit the Tories it could well have unintended consequences

And to be clear. Voter suppression is always wrong. Everyone should have the right to vote

Just voted & discovered that you can make an official complaint about requirement for photo ID at the vote - election officers will take down your complaint, name & address & pass it to the elections teams... so please folks - have your say!

Please, if you do this, be kind to election staff- they're doing a thankless task & are likely to get a lot of trouble today. If you have to wait when it's busy, wait kindly.

The election folks are not those at fault!!
