New painting prep, detail: “Deadline”.
The concept for this came from one of my Inktober sketches five years ago 🖋️. Thanks to my daughter Willow for the reference photos, not exactly a comfortable pose to hold 😬😘.

Thanks to Adam Grant (and Larry Cuban for reposting).
To fairly judge student learning is tricky. And even trickier if you set a time limit testing…

Booster 7 and 9 have several significant differences, starting with the changeover from Raptor 2 to Raptor 2.1, which uses electric (Thrust Vector Control). A possible reason why has an issue with leakage compared to other could be the high that operates at in its Methane turbopumps, hot gas manifold, and the Main Combustion Chamber (MCC). One of the most obvious changes to Booster 9 was the addition of a hot stage vent ring on the top that will allow SpaceX to fire 🔥 the ship’s engines while still attached to the booster. https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2023/09/starship-upgrades-upcoming-test-flight/

When you say, “I do my best work under pressure,” I hear, “The only time I actually focus on my work is under pressure.”

Update. New study: "Academics who perceive high to publish tend to employ instrumental publication strategies rather than normative ones…Publishing results in open-access outlets or in native languages other than English is less important for those under pressure."

There are many large and in the world. Many people are victimized by the in a thousand different ways. This is not their story; it is not about their problems, but this should not be seen as minimizing them.

I'd like to talk about something a little closer to home: in the field. I've been in this field for <mumble> years and worked for tiny companies, medium consulting companies, large orgs, and as a one-man independent contractor.

cazabon,

And just how "optional" is it? Are employees turning up because they'll look bad if everyone else on their team goes and they don't?

A lot of managers are blind to this kind of on employees. They are completely unaware of the power dynamic between management and employees, and so they misunderstand the and of those employees.
