Well that was a bastard of a problem, pardon my French. Just tried to create a bootable WinXP USB disk with Rufus. It failed because I'd zeroed the partition table, and Windows 7's format utility created a USB stick without one - which completely buggered up Rufus.

They’re digitizing that series on YouTube, slowly releasing various performances. Today they dropped “Tell Me Something Good,” by Rufus. They’re a funk band that was basically the launch of Chaka Khan’s career.
I have done some hard things in life, but I can't remember anything so tedious as moving a #Windows license from one installation to another.
Also, can somebody enlighten me why an OS would disallow installation on USB-connected storage devices? I kept asking myself this in the past, and now I'm baffled seeing that this is still a limitation.
