Added #Vale for checking the text in the documentation.
The clean-up is a progress to give my different personal projects a more consistent configuration and improvement in quality.
And the additional bonus is that it lowers my maintenance cost.
We also discovered that they (Generational References) enable Vale to have complete memory safety, something no native language has been able to achieve.
@macleod this reads like #Vale hopes to be the #Rust killer, but you do realize that the Rust borrow checker also protects against data races in multithreaded code, right?
I don't see anything in the pitch to do with multithreading
I'm also unclear on the "complete memory safety" claim given the extensive discussion of overriding the generation check. The "no native language" claim seems questionable too

Ja riittää että (1) julistaa olevansa enemmistö ja vaalivoittaja, vaikka ei ollut kumpaakaan. Tarpeeksi monta kertaa kun toistaa niin ihmiset uskovat.

At a previous job, I set up #Vale to lint our tech docs (in a docs as code publishing flow) and I loved the power that the natural language processing (NLP) and customized styles gave me to standardize the docs and check for mistakes.
When I started playing with LLM chatbots, I immediately thought they could be a more convenient application of that. But so far, nope.
#Vale describes itself as a “syntax-aware #linter for prose built with speed and extensibility in mind”. My overlay has the latest v2.24.4 release available for fellow #Gentoo users.

Dame Edna Everage - megastar housewife from Moonee Ponds - was a regular fixture on Australian TV screens as well as the stage for literal decades. Humphries brought gentle satire, biting wit, and on point commentary to a nationwide audience, a groundbreaking presence that paved the way for others over time. While not queer himself, his work has softened access to opportunities for queer performers both in the antipodes and overseas. This was thanks in no small part to her oft-mentioned son Kenny, as her work often referred his wildly successful interior design business as well as life-long "friend".
A supportive, intelligent and incredibly hard working light has gone out in my personal firmament. Thank you for all your hard work Mr Humphries - I guess you are now burning a purple wig and gladioli in your personal fireplace.
