The final numbers for the #MarketGarden for 2023 are in.
Although I don't run it as a commercial operation, with about 800 kg from 16 beds, it produced a yield per hectare of more than 63 t/ha of #veg. The mean for all German veg producers (2015-2022) was about 30t/ha.
Since I could easily increase the production by at least 50%, that is a great argument for #NoDig#gardening as all that is done on #compost only - no fertilizers, no pesticides.
It took about 250 hours. As I don't measure the harvest of our friends, who provide the land, the total yield from the market garden is about 1.6t+.

Il pranzo di oggi, la caponata bugiardissima.
Perché bugiardissima? Perché lì dentro, melanzane a tocchetti a parte, ci potete mettere praticamente qualsiasi verdura stazioni in frigo. Io ci ho messo pomodori, cipolla, capperi e olive. Non me ne vogliano i siciliani.
Be', buon appetito!
Back from 2 weeks on holiday. I told the neighbours they could pick anything ripe while I was away. Perhaps they're scared of fresh veg. Those are courgettes by the way. #allotment#GrowYourOwn#Veg
My tomato plant is BLOOMING! On May 17th!
That's a month (or two) earlier than normal.
Why is it doing this?
It's a grafted plant, and I added lots of chicken manure to the raised beds this spring.
