@janl@atpfm Zooming in it looks like you may be team #wheels for #MacPro, but please confirm. I started editing my purchases to not go crazy, but I do have at least 10 pint glasses. Personal favorites are the classic ATP logo tee, the hoodie, chicken hat, and the pixel tee (and pint glasses of course). Tip of the hat to the M1 Ultra (to match my Studio) and the Mac Pro lineup (w/ wheels) tees.
I had avoided installing #Steam because I assumed it would be a disappointment. BUT, tonight I installed Steam via Flatpak on my old 2013 #MacPro running #LinuxMint. Then got #HalfLife2 up and running. Full 4k with max settings. Better than the first time I played it.
Yeah (I know) it’s a 20 year old game, but it’s the awesome nostalgia I need during the holidays. I just regressed twenty years.
I bet the high end M3 Max gives the M1 Ultra a run for its money. 12 20-30% faster cores should beat the 16 "slower" cores for most real world stuff. If I wasn't such a core, uhm fan, I'd seriously consider going to a regular Studio next round.

RVC update: Finally got it installed on Mac. The good news is the UIs are completely accessible with VoiceOver, both the web interface and real-time app. Bad news: Pytorch doesn’t implement all of the MPS operators yet. Enough were present to scream through a Demucs operation, but doesn’t look like it has all of the ones RVC uses. It’s back to using the CPU, which means rendering will probably work, but can’t imagine I’ll be doing much training. 38 cores and 28GB video RAM would have been cool.
About 50% of the way through my studio reorganization now. The mixer is totally tested & fully operational, including every connected cable. Now working through all the outboard gear & cables, starting with my mics.
I do got a #Z600 a while back when it was still blazing fast for daily use yet already affordable, and that thing is very boring in comparison to #nvidia's custom design with that seperate board on the back and hardline compressor cooling...
The problem is that these will have use issues as retro systems and I bet you they'll become a major pain in the rear like the notoriously leaky Dual - G5 #MacPro's from #Apple with their liquid coolers.
