Teaching my wife #ArkhamHorrorLCG using the first scenario of The Night of the Zealot. I'm hoping she will enjoy it enough to play through The Forgotten Age next
Arkham Horror LCG is just so good! I have three more scenarios in #TheForgottenAge campaign and it has just gotten really exciting again. There was a little bit of a lull in the middle scenarios but "The City of Archives" is about to ramp up the #Lovecraftian mythos once again.
I am definitely thinking of grabbing another campaign in the coming months but not sure if I should do #Carcosa or the newest one, "The Feast of Hemlock Vale."
Hiya le fédiverse ! L'Amoureux cherche les cartes promos Silas Marsh pour le jeu Arkham Horror, est-ce que vous sauriez où trouver ça ? Les cartes et/ou le livre, l'idéal étant le paquet entier.
@thorn@jakehamilton I am just starting — ventured into Night of the Zealots today, playing 2-handed solo with investigators from the expansion packs, Harvey and Winifred. I'm having fun but making very slow headway while trying to internalize the rules and the logic of the game world, Grim Rule notwithstanding. And in my downtime I'm re-reading The King in Yellow to get in the proper mind frame for Path to Carcosa.
Hell yeah, scenario one was great. I've read TFA is tough so I'm playing it on easy. I did really well but Daisy did come close to dying. I really love Agnes and how she can go about dealing damage and becoming stronger with the more horror she experiences.
After 2 test runs, completed the first scenario of #ArkhamHorrorLCG
Glad I saw someone mention ArkhamHorrorDB.com because the starter decks are trash. I rebuilt Roland and Wendy using a revised starter deck list in the database, and it was night and day difference.
I love the Upgrading of cards after a scenario and the whole deck building aspect itself. Takes me back to my #MagicTheGathering days 20 years ago
Scenario 1 of the "Night of the Zealot" campaign of #ArkhamHorrorLCG in the books. I played with two investigators and while I was probably one turn away from killing the Ghoul Priest, these other Ghouls overran me and killed me off.
I like that even with "no resolution" you still move on to the next scenario.
Starting my first #ArkhamHorrorLCG campaign ever this morning. Taking turns in between folding loads of laundry is a lot better than just doing laundry on a Saturday morning.
Shipment with #ArkhamHorrorCardGame and #TheForgottenAge campaign is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. It's been a long 18 days, but who is counting ?
My son bought me a mythos pack for #ArkhamHorror the card game for Christmas, but I don't own that. I think he got confused bc of me checking out the Arkham Horror board game from the library.
So, instead of returning the pack to the game store, I used Targets BOGO 50% and just bought AHCG and the Forgotten Age campaign expansion.
This probably wasn't the smartest move financially, but I didn't want to disappoint the little guy!
These two ended up being victorious in #ArkhamHorror tonight!
I did play with two characters but kept all levels at 1p mode. This definitely helped. I also got lucky and the psychologist started with two Elder Sign unique items. Getting to seal up 2 gates super early helped because a lot of the future Mythos cards were trying to open gates at these sites. That obviously slowed down both the doom track and monster spawns.
Can anyone help explain flying monsters in #ArkhamHorror ?
On my first play I did this. They would come out into their specified location. The first time they moved, if no character was in the streets, they moved to the sky holding zone. And they would only move out to attack of someone was in the streets during monster movement?
This felt strange because I had 3 flyers in sky, and one ghoul in town. This meant I was at 4 monster limit and all others went to outskirts?
Closed a few gates and had a few Elder Signs out but didn't make a ton of headway. Eventually, Yig awakened and because I was cursed at the time, I was immediately devoured and lost haha.
Even though there is a lot of stuff in this game, it was surprisingly not too complex rule wise and turns in solo play went rapidly. I will definitely try again soon.
