Hmm, 35C and dewpoint of 33C at the METAR for Jay Prakash Narayan Airport (VEPT), Bihar, India. I don't think in Celsius, but I am thinking that is uncomfortable at best, likely heat illness or death at worst. (assuming no A/C). #heatwave #india #vept

ps.
For LINUX:
apt install metar
metar -D VEPT

NWS Key West: A Heat Advisory is in effect for the Island Chain from 10 AM thru 6 PM EDT this evening. 🥵

Hot temps & high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Heat indices up to 110 degrees are expected!

Take frequent breaks! Dress light! Hydrate!

Information on Heat Exhaustion vs. Heat Stroke. If it's heat stroke (no sweating, rapid, strong pulse, may lose consciousness, body temp above 103F) call 911. For heat exaustion, get to a coller, air conditioned place, drink water if fully conscious, take a cool shower or use cold compresses.

National Weather Service is predicting highs in the 90's for Indio, CA this weekend. Any trendy cowboys headed that way should be prepared to keep hydrated ($$$) and in the shade. https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=33.718649&lon=-116.218182

  1. Staying cool and avoiding heat illness. A huge issue in recent years (just in general). Travel at night, not during the day. Stay in the shade. Drink often, know when you are hydrated/dehydrated. 11/x

More (from NBC): "Thousands of scouts in South Korea for a global event will receive more water trucks, air conditioned spaces and medics, officials said, after hundreds of the teenage participants fell ill this week due to unusually hot weather. At least 600 people at the World Scout Jamboree, which kicked off in southwestern Buan on Tuesday, have so far been treated for heat-related ailments, officials say." https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/heatwave-world-scout-jamboree-south-korea-illness-high-temperatures-rcna98115

Apparently people dying in their homes from heat just doesn't make it into the news in Arizona. Not even one article about the two people I knew who died in Bullhead City, Arizona (at their second home... they have their first home at an expensive luxury retirement community in California) due to last week, anywhere (!)
