so this mastodon 4.2.0 beta apparently has some kind of hashtag thing where they keep them separate at the end and clumps them together when they're in the last line of a toot so let's see if it works
Is there any way to have my instance fetch posts/notes after they've been sent? For example if I encounter a new person, I can't see any of their posts unless they're pinned. Or is that just a limitation of the fediverse, if your instance didn't see it when it happened, it doesn't exist? #help#sysadmin#instanceadmin#hajkey#iceshrimp
@voidf1sh It's the default mechanism of the fediverse. There are some tools that allow you to backfill content, but I'm not aware of any that are compatible with the *key forks
oh right here's some #stuff i made in like 10 minutes
it's a #mastodonBot that toots the system info (cpu usage, ram usage, disk usage, and uptime) of the server it's running on), which is something that may be useful to #instanceAdmins, and just neat in general, i suppose
It's about how marginalized communities such #blackTwitter or people with #disabilities are using social medias like Twitter and the Fediverse, and about how we could make the #Fediverse more welcoming. I think it's a must read for any #moderator or #instanceAdmin
It is my intention to block any commercial companies operating fediverse servers from accessing mastodon.radio users and content.
I think that companies like meta building fediverse compatible services is an existential threat to this network and the first step in Embrace, Extend, Extinguish.
I frequently see posts where instance admins are bemoaning Mastodon's lack of a given feature. Many times these are features that other Fedi microblogging systems like Akkoma/Pleroma already implement well.
So why aren't those as popular? Why are folks sticking with Mastodon?
