I ordered custom printed #keycaps from WASD for my customized #chrumm#keyboard showing the full #NeoQWERTZ layout. 😅 Plus the keyboards first FN-layer.
They arrived .. today 😀 and they are beautiful. Came out much nicer and less chaotic than I feared. Even though #chaos, chaosknot and fairydust-rocket are part of the design 😁
On top of that, I added o-rings for a softer key-press bottom-out.
Vorrei cambiare #keycaps alla mia #tastiera meccanica, per #sfizio. E su Aliexpress mesi fa diversi articoli avevano catturato la mia attenzione — sono veramente una marea, ogni volta che cerco “kawaii keycaps” lì sopra e scorro le immagini divento pazza. Solo che… da un lato costicchiano, dall’altro il #DIY mi piace, poi l’ #arte è sempre bella, e questo genere di cose qui penso che si riesce ad averle di più a cuore se le si fa personali, rispetto a cosa il comprare la plastica prodotta in serie può mai dare alla nostra anima. Quindi, ormai voglio #dipingere io ‘sti tastini. ✨️
Non mentirò che sono ancora più confusa ora, dopo aver fatto #ricerche, rispetto a prima, perché ho trovato fin troppi #metodi e #tutorial. Diciamo che quello che ho estrapolato è: posso #pitturare con il cavolo che mi pare (tempere, pennarelli, vattelappesca), la pittura dovrebbe rimanere al suo posto, e però dovrei mettere qualche strato trasparente (chi si arrangia usa lo smalto trasparente, chi sa più cose dice che quello si fa brutto e dunque usa roba più strana che spero di trovare dal casalinghi, sennò amen). Per la base dei #tasti sarà un problema, perché non voglio rovinare i cappellini di fabbrica, quindi dovrò procurarmene nuovi… ma sono costosini anche quelli basici. Mi sa che ne prenderò e quindi personalizzerò pochi, almeno per iniziare. 🙄️

I would live to create (and buy!) my own perfect set for my #ErgoDash, but even though I'm aiming at DSA PBT, I'm wondering if laser-printed labels would last longer or not.
Are there similar alternatives to this service, with dye-sub or double-shot?
@ethanschoonover you know I have a lot of words, and I don't have words to share the breadth and depth of my joy that Solarized is a thing that exists in my timeline. If Solarized is not the answer, you need to ask a better question. (: it's how I got into OmniOutliner, it looked "right" so then I could actually use it.
