The music of #Khruangbin has been keeping me super-chill for the past two frenetic weeks. I've been listening to A La Sala on repeat.
Did a whole lot of work on articles and other stuff this morning, clearly in my Super Academic phase. By end of the week I'll be an exhausted and limp bundle, though.
Scored a jar of peach preserves although it required me extroverting myself enough to ask a nearby tall stranger to grab it for me from a tall shelf. (I'm 5"6 but the shelf was considerably higher). Tall dadbro (with toddler) was momentarily puzzled but acquiesced. Whatevs, I was embarrassed but YAY I finally got a new jar (finished the other one already).
@dnanian fair. I just don’t see much in the West that uses the Thai language, is all. I nearly dropped of my sofa when watching a US series and saw some Thai writing, once
@wegonnaseeno In the same vein, check out Khun Narin's Electric Phin band. As best I can tell it's Thai wedding music that due to this guy's particular take on it smears the line into psychedaelic surf guitar sounds. Give it a listen.

The women in the video are all part of a large network of artists, singers, dancers and songwriters who have been either exiled or silenced since the revolution.
Khruangbin hopes to bring these remarkable women back into the spotlight and honour the artistry of silenced women everywhere.
Really enjoying my adopted hometown #HoustonTX’s #psychedelic-#funk-#soul-#dub trio #Khruangbin’s recent albums “Live at #Stubbs” and “Live at #RadioCityMusicHall,” especially because the first few tracks showcase their opening acts before going into the headline material. It feels more like I’m at the show myself.
